J. B. Weaver |
||||||||||||||
 Dr. J. B. Weaver, Jr. is a charter member of the Classic City Lions
Club. He transferred from the Athens Lions Club in 1963 to help found
the new Classic City Club. He was born in 1926 in Hart County, Ga. He
first joined the Lions in 1953 at the Monroe Lions Club. In 1987, he
retired from the University of Georgia as a Professor of Agronomy. His
whole career was spent working towards improving cotton production
worldwide through the development of advanced breeding and cultural
practices. Dr. Weaver was also a charter member of Milledge Avenue
Baptist Church in Athens and was recently appointed Deacon Emeritus
after serving as a deacon for over 20 years. |
